Both of my children unfortunately suffer from eczema. Their skin becomes red, splotchy, and cracks because of how much they scratch. Most of what has triggered their eczema is the freezing cold weather we have here in North Dakota and what I believe to be the hard water.
We tried everything. From Johnson & Johnson baby lotion and baby oil, to Cetaphil (recommended by my sister who suffers from eczema), Aveeno, Aquaphor, Eucerin (the kid’s pediatrician recommended- he suffers from eczema as well) and more.
In the end, nothing we tried worked.
Not until we stumbled across Theraplex! Doctor Sarah Pietrangelo a medical advisor on the Theraplex team was nice enough to send us these life changing products. She lives and swears by them for her own family (Husband, toddler, and baby) and as a pediatrician, she even recommends them to her patients!
The package she sent included four amazing products! This includes the Clear Lotion spray, Eczema Therapy Moisturizing Skin Protectant, Barrier Balm, and the Emollient. All were crazy good and beneficial in their own ways!
The Theraplex Company is very big on the saying “Less is more” here’s a little chart that compares the ingredients of other products to products of their own! Crazy to know we put all of these things on our skin without even reading the ingredients.
I love all of these products, our family favorite is in the pink spray bottle it’s called “Clear Lotion“! The product directs you to spritz it all over your body when you’re fresh out of the shower- body still wet! After spraying it on, you dry off with a towel!
We loved the concept of how fast and easy it was to apply, considering our kids are wiggle worms- this made it fun for them to have it applied! Mason spins in a circle while I spritz it all over and then we dry off seconds later! It’s consistency is extremely light weight, but don’t be fooled it’s extremely effective!
Here you see me holding open “Barrier Balm“. It’s infused with hydrosilicone and petrolatum which helps penetrate deeply into the skin! This one definitely has a thicker consistency than the Clear Lotion, so I highly recommend applying this to the extremely problematic areas of the skin as it’s concentration works like magic!

Look at that precious little face! Best of all look how clear his face is! After using the “Emollient” on his cheeks they have cleared up tremendously! Mom’s those days of your babies having red and cracked cheeks are over with this bad boy.
